What is Bauhaus? The table lamps by Wilhelm Wagenfeld are one of the answers to this question. That's why they are now simply referred to as Bauhaus table lamps. He designed them as a journeyman in the Bauhaus workshop in Weimar. Wagenfeld created a harmonious overall shape from individual stereometric bodies (cylinder, tube, disk, spherical section). Only the company TECNOLUMEN produces licensed replicas of 4 versions of the lamp. In terms of their dimensions and the material used, these are authentic designs by Wagenfeld. Each lamp is numbered consecutively and bears the TECNOLUMEN/BAUHAUS logo. The glass shade is covered in opal. This provides the best light diffusion advertised in the sample catalogue. The base and shaft of the WG 24 are made of clear glass. This makes the cable routing in the shaft visible as a functional element.
