They're back. The true-to-original edition of these nesting tables has only recently been produced again. Bauhaus master Josef Albers originally designed it for the Villa Möllenhoff in Berlin in 1926. For the painter and art theorist, the effect of colors and surfaces as well as the perception of colors based on the square were an essential aspect of his work. With this set, Albers' contemplative art finds its way into everyday use. Its design combines formal rigor with the option of light and spatial dynamics, as the tables, arranged differently, always achieve a different effect. The frames are made of clear-varnished oak, the frames are made of matt black lacquered copper beech, and the glass panels are painted in color on the underside. The tables are manufactured by a company in the Erzgebirge. The glass comes from Italy.
