B9a+B9b . MARCEL BREUER . tomatenrot
Side Tables . B9A+B . MARCEL BREUER . Tomato Red

From 1925 to 1928, Hungarian-born Marcel Breuer took over the carpentry workshop at the Bauhaus Dessau. He soon began experimenting with curved steel pipes in cooperation with the nearby Junkerswerke. The result is a revolution in furniture construction, the first tubular steel furniture in the world. The openness of the function was also modern and groundbreaking. The B9a is still used today as a stool in the cafeteria of the Bauhaus Dessau, but can also be used as a side table.
