In the moving decade of the 1960s, Rosenthal created the timelessly modern tableware collection TAC 1 as a homage to the legendary Bauhaus architect Walter Gropius. The white porcelain tableware not only embodied the geometric aesthetic of the celebrated Bauhaus founder, but also the unmistakable, unfussy style Straightforwardness of the Bauhaus style.

Walter Gropius' sketches subsequently provided the inspiration for today's TAC 02 design, the highlight of which is the TAC teapot. Decades after his death, Walter Gropius' bowls also went into series production, the lids of which, like the legendary teapot, have the distinctive carabiner-shaped handle on the side.

The puristic design based on simple geometric shapes gives the iconic Rosenthal TAC White tableware its timeless poetry. In Walter Gropius's spirit, the circle and the ball remain the shaping elements of the simple plates and bowls, which can now be used to cover an entire menu. At the same time keeping up with the times and capturing the aesthetics of the 1960s, the Rosenthal TAC White collection creates a new level that combines timeless porcelain tableware and unique design.
