Bauhaus Magazine #12 Habitat German
Bauhaus Magazine #12 Habitat German
Living is more than a functional roof over one's head: the term “habitat” bundles the debates of post-war modernism about a readjustment of architecture. The magazine Bauhaus 12 is devoted to historical and contemporary questions about living as a social practice and the relationship between people and the environment. Which alternative answers to the functionalist living machine were and are being formulated - in the 1920s at the Bauhaus and elsewhere, in post-war modernism, today? And how can the demand for a holistic perspective be met when the housing issue and the climate crisis challenge us as a global community today?
